Volume Loss and Drooping

Volume loss and drooping skin

Lorem ipsum dolor

Volume loss and drooping skin are natural signs of ageing. As we age, our skin loses elasticity and the underlying fat pads that provide fullness to the face begin to diminish. This results in a tired, hollow appearance and sagging skin, particularly in the cheeks, jawline, and lower face. We offer multiple treatment options to restore volume, lift sagging skin, and rejuvenate your appearance. Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

Our Methods

We offer two effective methods for delivering skin boosters depending on your goals and comfort preferences.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy involves delivering small amounts of active ingredients just beneath the surface of the skin using a specialised device. This method allows for even, targeted delivery of hydrating and rejuvenating solutions. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to ensure comfort, and downtime is minimal.

Microneedling

Microneedling uses a medical-grade device with fine needles to create microchannels in the skin. These channels allow skin booster serums to be absorbed more effectively. This technique is suitable for those seeking a gentler, non-injectable option to support overall skin condition and radiance.

Products we use for mesotherapy or microneedling: Hyaluronic acid, Rejuran PDRN AKA Salmon DNA skinbooster range, peptides, amino acids, vitamins, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Byryzn (Poly-L-Lactic acid PLLA + PDRN +more) or Exosomes.

Both delivery methods are personalised during your consultation with Dr Tina Fang, based on your skin needs, pain tolerance, your schedule and budget.

Add ons

With your personalised treatment plan, did you know we can also include a micro-dose of neuromodulator as part of your skin rejuvenation protocol? When used in tiny superficial amounts across the skin, this technique may help reduce the appearance of pores and support a smoother, more refined skin texture. This approach is often referred to as microtox or babytox, and is especially popular for patients seeking a polished, photo-ready finish.

Treatments for Lower face sagging/ Jowls

Description: A non-invasive skin tightening and lifting treatment that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to stimulate collagen production. Results are visible immediately and continue to improve over 2-3 months.
Sessions: 1-3 treatments, spaced 3 months apart.
Recovery: Minimal to no downtime. Some redness may subside within 1-2 hours.
Duration: 6-12 months.
Description: A minimally invasive procedure using dissolvable polydioxanone (PDO) threads to lift and tighten sagging skin. It stimulates collagen for natural-looking, long-lasting results.
Sessions: 1
Recovery: 7 days
Duration: 12-18 months.

Neurotoxin injections can be strategically used to relax the platysmal bands and other facial muscles that naturally pull downwards, contributing to a sagging appearance. By relaxing these muscles, the skin is lifted and the overall contour of the face is improved. This treatment is particularly effective for addressing neck bands, jawline definition, and preventing further descent of facial tissues. Results appear gradually over 3-7 days, with full effects visible in 10-14 days, and typically last 3-4 months.

Description: Collagen-stimulating fillers that trigger the body’s natural collagen production for gradual and long-lasting volume restoration. Results develop over 4-6 weeks.
Sessions: 2-3 sessions, spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
Recovery: Minimal to no downtime.
Duration: Up to 2 years or longer.

Key Information

The signs of skin ageing usually begin to appear in your 20’s as your levels of collagen and elastin begin to deplete. Collagen and elastin are structural proteins found throughout the body. In the skin, collagen provides the infrastructure for elastin and hyaluronic acid to bind to and gives skin a firm and full appearance.

Elastin is an extracellular matrix protein that gives skin elasticity, and hyaluronic acid binds to water, keeping the skin moist and plump. With age, collagen levels naturally deplete leading to a disorganised collagen network and decreased elastin and hyaluronic acid.

Collagen stimulators like Sculptra and Ellanse have become popular in recent years because they offer a longer-lasting solution to treating wrinkles, fine lines, and volume loss compared to traditional Dermal fillers. They work by stimulating the body's natural collagen production, resulting in a gradual and natural-looking improvement in skin texture, elasticity, and volume over time. Additionally, collagen stimulators are biocompatible and biodegradable, meaning they are well-tolerated by the body and do not require allergy testing before treatment.

Sculptra and Ellanse are both Collagen Stimulators used for facial rejuvenation, but they have some differences. Sculptra is made of Poly-L-lactic acid, while Ellanse is composed of Polycaprolactone Microspheres suspended in a Carboxymethylcellulose gel.

The main difference between Sculptra and Ellanse is the duration of their effects. Sculptra typically lasts for up to two years, while Ellanse can last for up to one, two years or longer depending on the type of Ellanse used. Additionally, Sculptra requires a series of treatments over several months, while Ellanse can provide more immediate results with fewer treatments. Finally, Sculptra stimulates collagen production over time, while Ellanse's microspheres provide immediate volume and gradually stimulate collagen production as they are broken down by the body.

Collagen Stimulators can increase volume and decrease wrinkles and fine lines, but they work differently from regular Dermal Fillers. They boost the body's natural collagen production, which can result in gradual and natural improvements over time. However, they may not work well for all facial areas and may require multiple sessions to achieve desired results. Thus, they may not replace dermal fillers but can be combined with them for a more complete treatment plan. It's best to consult with a qualified practitioner like Dr Tina to determine the best approach for individual needs and preferences.

Determining whether Collagen Stimulator is the appropriate treatment for you depends on a variety of factors, including your specific cosmetic goals, the areas of the face you wish to address, and your medical history. The best way to determine which treatment is right for you is to consult with a qualified medical professional such as Dr Tina, who can evaluate your unique situation and provide personalized recommendations. Dr Tina can also explain the potential risks and benefits of each treatment, so you can make an informed decision.

Like any medical treatment Collagen Stimulator treatments carry some risks and potential side effects. Common side effects may include swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, and itching at the injection site, which are usually temporary and resolve on their own within a few days or weeks. In rare cases, more severe side effects such as infection, granulomas, and skin necrosis may occur.
